Rainbow Monarch by Samm Wehman

The monarch butterfly goes through a multi-step metamorphosis throughout its life, with some migrating thousands of miles every autumn. One of nature’s most popular and charismatic insects, I think we all can identify with a monarch butterfly at some point or another in our own lives. We transform, we change. We fly.

I painted the original rainbow monarch with acrylics on a large canvas and digitally edited it into this design with an abstracted background. The rainbow-colored monarch does not exist in nature — but it exists within each of us.

Life might not always be a bunch of rainbows and butterflies, but your yoga experience now can be with this mat! I designed this mat specifically with you in mind… you… that vibrant, colorful soul who dares to be different, and hopes to find mental peace with a rainbow explosion of butterflies beneath every breath during your practice.

Love,
Samm
